- 2 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, mix together mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, olive oil, Montreal chicken seasoning, garlic powder, cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika until smooth and well combined. Add the chicken pieces, tossing to thoroughly coat every piece. Set aside while you prepare the baste.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter Baste: In a separate bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped parsley, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and black pepper. Mix until a smooth, evenly blended butter is formed.
- Skewer the Chicken: Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, ensuring they will fit in your air fryer. Trim skewers if necessary for size.
- Arrange and Preheat: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Lightly spray the basket with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
- Air Fry the Skewers: Place the chicken skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8 minutes.
- Baste and Flip: Open the air fryer and generously baste the top of the skewers with the garlic butter sauce. Flip each skewer and baste the other side.
- Finish Cooking: Continue cooking for an additional 8 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is slightly browned.
- Final Baste and Serve: Remove the skewers and baste once more with the remaining butter sauce. Sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese if desired and serve hot.

- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20–30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning.
