Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
2 cups peeled and chopped apples
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
-
In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
-
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, until the batter is smooth.
-
Gently fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
-
In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
-
Bake for 60–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover it with foil and continue baking.
-
Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan. Let it cool completely before slicing.
