Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
For the glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
-
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
-
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
-
Fold in the chopped apples and cinnamon sugar until evenly distributed.
-
Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Layer with more apples and cinnamon sugar. Add the remaining batter on top and swirl gently with a knife to create a marble effect.
-
Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
-
Slice, serve, and enjoy!
