Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.

- For a spicier chili, increase the cayenne pepper or add chopped jalapeños.
