Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
4 sandwich buns
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Optional toppings:
Lettuce
Tomato
Onion
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
-
In a small bowl, mix BBQ sauce and ranch dressing.
-
Place seared chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour BBQ ranch sauce over the chicken, making sure it’s evenly coated.
-
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
-
While the chicken is baking, lightly toast the sandwich buns.
-
Once the chicken is done, slice it and place on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
-
Top with fresh parsley and optional toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and onion.
-
Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
Notes
-
Variations: For a smoky flavor, grill the chicken instead of baking. Add hot sauce for a spicy kick, or melt cheddar or Swiss cheese on top for a cheesy twist.
-
Storage: Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Use for sandwiches, wraps, or salads.
-
Reheating: Reheat chicken in the microwave or oven, and re-toast the buns for extra crunch.
