Ingredients
1 loaf French bread, cut into cubes
2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
4 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
Powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Layer the bread cubes and berries in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over the bread mixture.
- Let it sit for 10 minutes, then bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to use any type of berries you prefer.
- Best served warm, but can also be enjoyed cold or reheated.
- For a sweeter touch, additional maple syrup can be drizzled on top before serving.
