Ingredients
- 1 can crescent roll dough
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up into small crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate the triangles. Place a spoonful of sausage and some shredded cheese at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll up the dough around the sausage and cheese, forming a crescent shape.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Drizzle with maple syrup before serving if desired.
Notes
- Maple syrup is optional but adds a delicious sweetness to the rolls.
- Use pre-cooked sausage to save time if desired.
- Check the crescents at 12 minutes to avoid over-baking.
