Ingredients
For the Bread:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat & Prepare the Pan
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal after baking.
2. Mix the Dry Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
3. Combine the Wet Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and beaten egg until well combined.
4. Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. The batter will be thick, and that’s perfectly fine!
5. Add the Cheese
- Fold in the shredded cheese until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
6. Bake the Bread
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Cool & Serve
- Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
