Ingredients

For the Bread:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prepare the Pan

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal after baking.

2. Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.

3. Combine the Wet Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and beaten egg until well combined.

4. Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. The batter will be thick, and that’s perfectly fine!

5. Add the Cheese

  • Fold in the shredded cheese until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

6. Bake the Bread

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Cool & Serve

  • Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
