2 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon (for swirl)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, and egg until well blended.

Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

Combine wet and dry ingredients: Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined (don’t overmix).

Make cinnamon swirl: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.

Layer the batter: Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Create the swirl: Add the remaining batter on top, then gently swirl with a knife to create the cinnamon swirl effect.

Bake: Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
