Ingredients
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
-
Stir in the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens.
-
Layer the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Pour the creamy cheese mixture over the potatoes, ensuring they are fully coated.
-
Cover with foil and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to achieve a golden brown top.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
