Ingredients
- 1 pound steak (such as sirloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and cook for 4-6 minutes until browned on all sides.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the butter, garlic powder, onion powder, Parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese has melted and the steak bites are coated.
- Meanwhile, boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and return them to the pot.
- Mash the potatoes with the heavy cream, milk, and butter until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the garlic Parmesan steak bites over the mashed potatoes and enjoy!
Notes
- Ensure the steak is cut into equal-sized bites for even cooking.
- Adjust seasoning to taste as you prepare each component.
- You can substitute heavy cream with more milk for a lighter mashed potato.
- This recipe can be doubled for larger serving sizes.
