Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 sandwich buns
4 slices of cheese (optional)
Lettuce, tomato, and onion slices
2 tbsp mayonnaise or your favorite dressing
Instructions
-
Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
-
In a bowl, coat the chicken breasts with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let them marinate for a few minutes while the grill heats up.
-
Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is fully cooked.
-
While the chicken is cooking, lightly toast the sandwich buns on the grill until golden and crisp.
-
To assemble the sandwiches, spread mayonnaise or your chosen dressing on the buns.
-
Add the grilled chicken breast, a slice of cheese (if using), lettuce, tomato, and onion.
-
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
