  • Total Time: 40-45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 lbs organic chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons On Everything All-Purpose Blend
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

For the Homemade Hot Honey Sauce:

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup organic raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prep and Season the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine chicken breasts with olive oil, On Everything All-Purpose Blend, smoked paprika, sea salt, and pepper. Marinate the chicken for at least 3 hours or overnight in the fridge, then let it sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before cooking.
  2. Make Slit-like Cuts: Make small slit-like cuts on top of each chicken breast to help the sauce soak in better.
  3. Make the Hot Honey Sauce: In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes, then stir in honey, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, chili powder, and sea salt. Stir until smooth and thick, then remove from heat.
  4. Bake the Chicken: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the chicken breasts on the sheet and spoon half of the hot honey sauce over them. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. Serve: Once the chicken is done, spoon the remaining hot honey sauce over the top and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Notes

  • Spicy Level: Adjust cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
  • Smoky Twist: Swap smoked paprika for chipotle powder for an added smoky, spicy flavor.
  • Crispy Chicken: Broil for 3-5 minutes at the end of baking for extra crispy edges.
