Whether you’re making a special dinner or a quick weeknight meal, this easy recipe delivers bold, irresistible flavor.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

For the Steak:

  • 4 beef steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup beef or chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let them rest.
  • Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and stock. Stir in Dijon mustard, thyme, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to warm through.
  • Serve the steaks topped with the creamy garlic sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Add Mushrooms: Sauté sliced mushrooms with the garlic for extra flavor.
  • Make it Spicy: Add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
  • Extra Cheesy: Stir in grated Parmesan for a creamy, cheesy finish.
  • Herb Swap: Use fresh rosemary or oregano instead of thyme for a different twist.
