Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or lamb
1 onion, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil for grilling
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground meat, grated onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into long, oval-shaped kebabs.
- Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and brush with olive oil.
- Grill the kafta for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Serve with pita bread, hummus, or your favorite salad.
Notes
- Kafta can also be cooked in the oven or on a stovetop grill pan if an outdoor grill is unavailable.
- For a juicier texture, use a mix of beef and lamb.
- Serve alongside Lebanese garlic sauce for an authentic touch.
