Ingredients
2 large onions, sliced into rings
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Stuff each onion ring with shredded mozzarella cheese, pressing gently into the ring.
-
In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
-
Dip each stuffed onion ring into the flour mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Then dip it into the beaten egg, followed by the breadcrumbs.
-
Arrange the coated onion rings on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
-
While the onion rings bake, melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
-
Once baked, drizzle the garlic butter over the onion rings and serve immediately.
Notes
-
