Ingredients
½ cup cottage cheese
⅓ cup cocoa powder
⅓ cup chocolate protein powder
¼ cup almond butter
2 tbsp maple syrup
¼ cup oat flour
Pinch of salt
Mini chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
-
In a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients until smooth and thick. The mixture should hold together well without being too runny.
-
Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls.
-
Place the balls on a tray or plate and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to set.
-
Once chilled, enjoy your brownie protein bites! You can also store them in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze them for longer storage.
Notes
-
Variations:
-
Vegan Version: Swap the cottage cheese for a plant-based protein powder and use dairy-free yogurt or tofu for the creamy base.
-
Nut-Free: Use sunflower seed butter or tahini in place of almond butter to make the bites nut-free.
-
Extra Crunch: Add chopped nuts or seeds for some crunch in every bite.
-
Peanut Butter Flavor: Substitute almond butter with peanut butter for a different nutty taste.
-
Mint Chocolate: Add a few drops of mint extract to the mixture for a mint chocolate protein bite.
-
-
Storage/Reheating: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze them for up to a month. To enjoy, simply remove from the fridge or freezer—no reheating necessary!
