Oreo Cookie Dough Truffles are a decadent, no-bake treat made with a creamy Oreo cookie dough center and coated in smooth chocolate. Easy to make and perfect for any occasion, these truffles combine the irresistible flavor of Oreos with rich chocolate for a bite-sized indulgence everyone will love.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 16 truffles

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup crushed Oreos

2 tbsp milk

8 oz white or dark chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.

  2. Mix in the vanilla extract, followed by the all-purpose flour, salt, and crushed Oreos.

  3. Gradually add the milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together and is firm enough to roll into balls.

  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  5. Refrigerate the truffles for about 30 minutes to firm up.

  6. While the truffles are chilling, melt the white or dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler or microwave, stirring occasionally until smooth.

  7. Once the truffles are chilled, dip them into the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. Place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.

  8. Allow the chocolate to set and harden before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Chocolate Coating: Choose white, milk, or dark chocolate for the coating, depending on your preference.

  • Add-Ins: For extra texture, consider adding mini chocolate chips to the cookie dough.

  • Mint Twist: Add peppermint extract to the dough for a minty variation.
