Ingredients

  • 1 box Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strong coffee, cooled
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)

Instructions

  • Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold in mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Quickly dip Oreo cookies into the cooled coffee (and coffee liqueur if using), then layer them in the bottom of a trifle dish.
  • Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the cookies.
  • Repeat the layers, ending with the cream mixture on top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra chocolatey goodness, add mini chocolate chips to the cream mixture.
  • For a fruity twist, layer fresh raspberries or strawberries between the cream layers.
  • Make this dessert  by skipping the coffee liqueur and replacing it with vanilla extract.
