Ingredients
- 1 box Oreo cookies
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strong coffee, cooled
- 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
Instructions
- Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Quickly dip Oreo cookies into the cooled coffee (and coffee liqueur if using), then layer them in the bottom of a trifle dish.
- Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the cookies.
- Repeat the layers, ending with the cream mixture on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra chocolatey goodness, add mini chocolate chips to the cream mixture.
- For a fruity twist, layer fresh raspberries or strawberries between the cream layers.
- Make this dessert by skipping the coffee liqueur and replacing it with vanilla extract.
