Ingredients
1 lb beef steak (such as flank or sirloin), thinly sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Once browned, remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
-
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, bell pepper, and onion. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
-
Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the soy sauce. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
-
Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
Notes
-
Add more vegetables: Toss in mushrooms, zucchini, snap peas, or other veggies for extra flavor and nutrition.
-
Spicy kick: Add chili flakes or hot sauce if you like some heat.
-
Soy sauce alternative: Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free version.
-
Marinated beef: For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce, garlic, and a bit of honey for 30 minutes before cooking.
