Ingredients
For the Steak:
- 2 ribeye steaks (or preferred cut)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
For the Fries:
- 1 lb potatoes, peeled & cut into fries
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Fries
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Toss cut potatoes with olive oil & salt, then spread on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown & crispy.
2. Prepare the Steak
- While fries bake, season steaks generously with salt & black pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
3. Sear the Steak
- Place steaks in skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust for preferred doneness).
- In the last minute of cooking, add butter, garlic, and rosemary.
- Tilt the pan slightly and baste steaks by spooning melted butter over them.
- Remove steaks and let rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.
4. Serve and Enjoy!
- Plate the steak with crispy fries.
- Serve with béarnaise, garlic aioli, or peppercorn sauce for extra flavor.

- Different Steak Cuts: Use filet mignon, strip steak, or sirloin.
- Crispier Fries: Soak potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking.
