Ingredients

For the Beef Marinade:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced

For the Noodles:

  • 8 oz egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Marinate the Beef:

    • In a bowl, toss sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and vegetable oil.
    • Let marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  • Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  • Cook the Noodles:

    • Cook noodles according to package instructions.
    • Drain and toss with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  • Stir-Fry the Beef:

    • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
    • Add marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
    • Remove and set aside.
  • Stir-Fry the Vegetables:

    • In the same skillet, add bell pepper and broccoli.
    • Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Combine Everything:

    • Return beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce.
    • Stir-fry for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
    • Add cooked noodles and toss until well coated.
  • Serve & Garnish:

    • Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
