Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 black tea bags (or 1 tbsp loose-leaf black tea)
- 1½ cups milk (2% or whole milk recommended)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Boil Water with Cinnamon:
- In a saucepan, bring water and cinnamon sticks to a boil over medium heat.
2. Steep the Tea:
- Remove from heat and add black tea bags.
- Cover and let steep for 7 minutes, then remove tea bags and cinnamon sticks.
3. Warm the Milk:
- While the tea is steeping, heat milk in a separate pan or microwave until warm.
4. Combine Ingredients:
- Stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract into the tea.
- Add warmed milk and stir gently.
5. Serve & Enjoy:
- Pour into cups and serve immediately.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick or a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, if desired.
