- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, or until softened.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- While the sloppy joe mixture is simmering, toast the Texas toast in a separate pan, buttered side down, until golden brown and crispy.
- Spoon the hot sloppy joe mixture onto the toasted Texas toast slices and serve immediately.
