Instructions
1. Make the Crust:
- In a bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Use the back of a spoon to smooth it out.
- Chill the crust in the refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
2. Prepare the Chocolate Filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream on high speed until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, keeping it light and airy.
- Stir in chocolate hazelnut spread (or melted chocolate) until fully incorporated.
3. Assemble the Pie:
- Pour the chocolate filling into the chilled crust, spreading it evenly.
- Smooth the top and tap the pie dish gently on the counter to remove air bubbles.
4. Chill the Pie:
- Refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours (or overnight) until set and firm.
5. Add the Topping:
- Once set, arrange M&Ms evenly over the top, pressing them lightly into the filling.
- Optional: Pipe whipped cream around the edges or drizzle with melted chocolate for extra flair.
6. Serve and Enjoy:
